Having grown up with an irrational fear of deep water and a previous panicked experience of scuba diving at a young age, I approached my diving certification with some apprehension.

However, I immediately realised such hesitation was unneeded with Surrey Dive Centre’s expert tuition. With their help, not only did I take to the water naturally, but I was constantly reassured by their staff’s meticulous attention to safety. So much so that after finishing my Open Water, I immediately progressed onto my Advanced qualification! There’s a unique enthusiasm amongst the dive community that is hard to find with other activities. Surrey Dive Centre represents everything that is great about this adventure sport.

I wanted to take the time to thank you all at SDC for the wonderful time we had under your care and instruction while we did our PADI Open Water Diver course . I really enjoyed it and much of the credit for that goes to you guys.  The diving instruction was very good and due to the almost 1:1 instructor to student ratio, I was surprised by how much safer and confident I felt.

The instruction by you was very clear and calm and the equipment you loaned me as part of the course was top notch and in some respects seemed to be brand new. I also think one of the things that I enjoyed the most was meeting you all and the total professionalism you all showed at all times, especially that first moment when the mask is slipped on for the first time and the head goes in to the water. You really made all of us on the course feel so safe we will definitely be using you for advanced open water and other courses that you offer.

SDC has been great for my introduction to Scuba Diving. The pace at which they teach, the level of engagement (and patience) with the instructors, the quality of the gear are second to none!  I would thoroughly recommend them and along the way have made new friends through the centre!
